Economical Humour

Ahh….I nearly pished myself…Chortle chortle chuckle wheeze
If the satire wasn’t so economical, it would have brought me to my knees
But is that just me being sarcastic? Another type of humour of sorts
When really the economist front cover, set my brains funny cells to abort!

Satire is supposed to depict the truth in a funny kind of way
But it fails like the British economy when its lies it does convey
It ceases to be humorous when its only insults which it’s got
But does it really matter much? when the answers not a jot

They thought it such a spiffing jest, to rename our country as Skintland
Now that is really funny if they had really meant it as Angles Land
Three hundred years of Union, forced marriage… some may say
If the Unions done so well by us…Why then the pawn shop’s here today?

Where London, once Londinium, such a parasite of a beast
Takes everything we’ve ever had, till it bloats like expansive yeast
We who have plenty of earths resources, are left with less than none
The economists map must be correct, until this blasted unions done!

About auldacquaintance

I am not a member of any political party. I am however a strong supporter of Scots Independence. Any views which I express in this Blog are purely my own. This Blog intends to be a place where I will be putting my views on Scots Independence. It will primarily concern itself with the upcoming Referendum In Scotland. However It will also be somewhat diverse in the range of day to day issues which are evident to me in modern day Scotland. Not all of it will be political, and indeed may take me off into avenues I am not even aware of yet. Please come and join in on this journey, and any comments are welcome provided they are not abusive! All the best from a new acquaintance! Rod
