On a day which saw the first mass Union driven strike in thirty years, some questions were buzzing round my head, and here are a few of them for you to consider.
I give you, In no particular order:
When in 1998 Gordon Brown carried out his raid on pension funds the Conservatives, under William Hague, shouted from the rooftops about the wreckage it would cause.
Yet here they are wrecking away like wrecking merry things.
By 2005 the hole was too big to be filled and by 2010 Labour had wrecked any hope for a sustainable pensions system in this country.
The Unions meanwhile never uttered a tweet in protest over Broonies big pension raid, so why now?
Too little noise, too late. Labour left an almighty mess and it has given the Condems all the excuse they need to create havoc for the poor whilst ensuring they and their rich pals are all right jack.
Browns pensions raid has also created a precedent for the Condems to raid the public purse which holds all our savings. All that money we the tax payers had been putting aside for a rainy day,and for our retirement.
The Chancellors 30million capital investment scheme which he announced yesterday Is not being funded by Government, Its being funded by £25million worth of private pension scheme money. So its not only public pensions they are robbing, its private pensions too.
Meanwhile,Labour run Glasgow City Council are handing out golden handshakes for their executives in their dodgy ALEO schemes as a means of a thank you for their loyal supporters.
EIGHT bosses at Glasgow City Council have been paid £738,000 in “golden goodbyes” while staff suffer a pay freeze.
Three of them walked away with early retirement lump sums of more than £100,000.
Not much noise from the Unions about this disgrace,is there?
All this of course is just the smallest tip of the Iceberg as far as Labour and the Condems are concerned.
There is only one answer, that is to scrap the lot and start anew.
The only way we can do that is to get Independence, unfortunately that is at least 3 years away.
SO the Bad news is, it is going to get a lot worse before it starts to get better. I guess we had best get used to the idea, but make sure that we keep keen note of what goes on,and pass on that knowledge.
We can’t afford those responsible to brush it all under the carpet whilst playing pass the parcel of blame.
They are All to blame, and we must pass sentence accordingly on them. Lest we get robbed completely blind.
