The Negativity weapon

I have been taking a fairly extended rest from my blogging recently.
The reasons have been a few.
I have had more pressing personal matters to tackle in my own life, being first up. I also had more enjoyable things to attend to in my writing world. I am a poet first and foremost, not a political writer.

I was feeling rather weary of the same old arguments, both for and against Independence rearing their head on a continual loop.
I was sick fed up of watching the posturing of politicians, and political commentators. I was pissed off reading and watching the media, and how they report matters. And I was personally at burn out stage in my own writing. There was nothing new for me to say, which I have not already said. But most of all, I was utterly sick of the constant barrage of negativity coming from the British nationalists.
I really couldn’t stomach listening to all their drivel anymore.

I did find myself on a couple of occasions getting myself embroiled in friendly argument with some of my Unionist supporting friends and family. Namely by countering the guff they were regurgitating. I wasn’t about to let them off with spouting stuff to everyone, which was full of wrong thinking. I considered it, doing them a favour.

I can’t say that I have been successful in changing their minds any, as yet!
But, I have at the very least given them pause for thought.

If the Independence question was decided on purely logical argument, The result would be a no brainer!
Do you want to be Independent? Do you want to be Free? Do you want to be able to shape your own life? Do you want to have a real say in how your community and country is run?
What fool Idiot would say NO to these?

Likewise; Do you want to hand over control of your own earnings and purse strings and paypacket to someone else? Do you want to have less money in your pocket? Do you want to pay through the nose for your eduction, your health, your medicines and your social care?
Do you want to pay for things you don’t want or need? Do you want to throw your money away on nuclear weapons? Just so other people can live the life of Riley at your expense?
What fool Idiot would say YES to that?

Unfortunately…The Independence question is not being seen on purely logical grounds. Certainly not by those who are in support of the crippled and broken British State.
Even people who I would consider to be normal, successful and clear headed thinkers are coming out with the same guff being fed to them by the Unionist parties and the British media.
But that is hardly surprising when you consider the amount of conditioning and programming they have been subjected to for most of their lives!

The British States Imperialistic forces have been at work for over 300 years!
They have all the levers of power and news management in the British Isles.
They have even tried telling Scots, that they are not Scots!
But in the words of a certain Mr Brown…North British.

They have been hard at work during these 3 centuries, telling Scots that we are too wee, too poor and too stupid!
It is as I referred to in an earlier article..Self Fulfilling Prophecy.. Tell someone that they are something that they are not, and forever keep telling them that..and they will come to believe it for themselves!

The Negativity weapon works in another way too.. And even I have been worn down to an extent by this one…I have become so fed up with all the garbage negativity spoken…that I couldn’t bear to listen any more, or forever fight against it.

And that is where Negativity can be a very powerful weapon.
Folks, just switch off, they don’t want to hear anymore, and they are sick fed up of it!
Of course, this is exactly what the BritNats want!!
They don’t want Scots to be engaged with opening their eyes and actually seeing that the Empire has No Clothes!

So all you will get them from them is smears, disinformation, down right lies, and a shit load of Negativity. They want us all scunnered by 2014! So scunnered that even if we have not been taken in by their constant rubbish, that at the very least, we will not bother our backsides to go out and cast our ballot. They win with either result!

So the press, the BBC, the politicians…will all be Negative, Negative and Negative…all the way!
The thought of a successful Country to the North of them, scares them to bits!
The thought of those Scots who have been living high on Westmisnter and the House of Lords, losing their perks, allowances, and huge privileges frightens the rest!
The parcel of Rogues are still with us…Only there are far more of them now!

Perhaps we shouldn’t be discussing Independence at all?
Perhaps Instead, we should be exercising ourselves with another question instead?
Don’t ask folks how they are going to vote over Independence…Ask them something else.

What sort of life do you want to live? What sort of Society would you like? What sort of community to you want to be part of?
What are the things that really matter to your quality of living , and what do aspire for your children? What sort of Health care service would you like? What do wish for yourself once you reach old age?

Then ask them…And what sort of Country do you think has a better chance of providing all that?

Is the British State providing the sort of Life that you want to live? Do you think that it will?
YES or NO?
