Make note of that number and grieve.
That is the number of people who took their own lives in Britain in 2011.
Who knows what that figure will have increased to in 2012, as the British Government clamped down even harder on those less fortunate in society.
2013 I predict, given the passing of the latest Government Welfare measures, and the implementation and doubling of sanctions for the unemployed on the flimsiest of excuses, will be far worse again!
When someone dares say that we are Better Together.. Show them these figures, and ask how?

Note that figure well
It’s the ones who gave up
Their Lives had been Hell
So they gave up on living
In the year two thousand and eleven
God alone knows the numbers
For two thousand and twelve

It’s the state of Great Britain
The disadvantaged Imprisoned
In a hole they can’t see to get out
The Jack Boots now Falling
On their necks Is appalling
They are not Banks, or their Bankers
So there’s no bailing them out

But as for corruption?
Don’t dare for disruption
Smile weakly while they take it all
No justice, no morals
And do not dare quarrel
One Law for Some
But Not for us ALL!

I am not a member of any political party. I am however a strong supporter of Scots Independence. Any views which I express in this Blog are purely my own. This Blog intends to be a place where I will be putting my views on Scots Independence. It will primarily concern itself with the upcoming Referendum In Scotland. However It will also be somewhat diverse in the range of day to day issues which are evident to me in modern day Scotland. Not all of it will be political, and indeed may take me off into avenues I am not even aware of yet. Please come and join in on this journey, and any comments are welcome provided they are not abusive! All the best from a new acquaintance! Rod

Re 6045; betcha the suicide figures for good ol Blighty are again massaged and deemed too sensitive for the public eyes. That McCrone report shelf must now be bulging, what with all those Irakistan reports, Scottish Devolution details & minutes of ATOS/Unelected YK government minister meetings?

    • Cyril Matvech says:

Oops, where’s that edit button? Should of course read “”Unelected UK government meetings””. Sitting in bright strong sunlight and an LCD keypad!

  2. Could put the figures of those who were taken from the disability benefit and see how many match, not the best subject matter, but a necessary subject to put out into the open, and discuss properly.

  3. Boorach says:

This is the subject that really gets to me. Not just the suicides but the massive unfairness of whole ‘welfare’ thing in this apology for a country.

There’s not one of the sanctimonious hits I wouldn’t happily do time for in exchange for the fleeting pleasure of inflicting ‘common assault’ on him.

How’s your friend doing? I assume you can pick my mail address should you feel you need to

    • Yup…Its a load of crap … and about to get far far worse!
Appeal is in, now just waiting for what the response is?
Funny how they can put someone off, with an almost immediate decision, but it takes far longer for them to consider an appeal…strange that!

In the meantime suspension stays in place, and the real penalty will be served by the time that they come to a response!
Thereby inflicting real misery, whatever the event.

yes got your email thanks, very much appreciated.

The amount of distress and anguish required for a human being to consider taking their own life…….

Those thoughtless, soulless bastards in the commons and Lords need a dose of could hard reality thrown in their faces. What I would not give to see some of them living out of a box or on some of our more well known schemes or estates. See how it feels to wonder if you can afford to eat next week or pay the leccy bill so you don’t freeze to death. Then to be faced with that as a long term future. What do you do? Drink, drugs, crime? Or do you just quietly shuffle off this mortal coil and try not to cause a mess on the way out. I mean that’s what they’d prefer, just die quietly and don’t cause a fuss. Terribly tragic, but the books just didn’t add up d’you see? I mean we couldn’t afford WMDs and care for our citizens, could we? We couldn’t afford that second flat in London and provide free travel for the elderly. We couldn’t afford those foreign adventures and keep medical aid free at point of need.

I know what we can’t afford. We can’t afford to say no in 2014 and watch this tragedy continue as the ‘greed is good team’ carry on their merry way.

    P.S. Ditto with Boorach

  6. Boorach says:

Just a wee bittie concerned at your silence Rod. Only a wee bittie you understand. Put our minds at rest and satisfy your inner self by pouring some invective on the soulless bastards in westminster for us, please.
