Project Fear

Project Fear

They called it Project Fear
Were going to Scare the crap right out of you!
They’d been doing it for many years
But this was something entirely new
For every day ,of every week, of every month that comes
They would spread their lies and negativity
Spreading fear of what we might become

They will castigate and demonise
They would make us scared to sleep
They would convince us that we were too small
And that freedom would only make us weep
They would talk us down, they would keep our pounds
We’d be alienated from all the rest
And should we go and make our way
Then the World would us then detest

We’d all end up in poverty, our children would not eat
Our health would then deteriorate
We’d all be dying on our feet
The eldest wouldn’t make sixty five
And no pensions would they get
And the disabled ones would be made to slave
after failing the bent medical tests

They would get their friends in the State TV
To bombard us night and day
While their newspapers and radios
would all tell us what They say
They’d convince us White was really Black
while they continued to rob us blind
waving coloured flags and cheering loud
Till they controlled all of our minds

Double Speak and talent shows
Would keep all the masses dumb
Our minds all lost in a wild cyber whirl
voting for the talentless we’d become
It’s Orwells nineteen eighty four, we can’t ask why or how?
They’ll tell us that’s the way its going to be
If you vote for Independence now!

About auldacquaintance

I am not a member of any political party. I am however a strong supporter of Scots Independence. Any views which I express in this Blog are purely my own. This Blog intends to be a place where I will be putting my views on Scots Independence. It will primarily concern itself with the upcoming Referendum In Scotland. However It will also be somewhat diverse in the range of day to day issues which are evident to me in modern day Scotland. Not all of it will be political, and indeed may take me off into avenues I am not even aware of yet. Please come and join in on this journey, and any comments are welcome provided they are not abusive! All the best from a new acquaintance! Rod
