Butter Together

I don’t know what it is about Better Together that makes me think of a well known brand of hydrogenated fat which attempts to pass itself off as butter, but the two products do seem remarkably similar.
I can’t believe its not better, is much like I can’t believe its not butter….One is a deliberate marketing ploy to try and persuade the gullible that it is better for you than the real thing, and the other is well….doing exactly the same thing with butter.
At one point in order to sell unhealthy and inedible plastics the margarine industry got their pals to tell all and sundry that butter was bad for you, and margarine was exceedingly healthy, and thus we should forgo the dangerous natural life threatening produce for the benefits of eating plastic residue. It was all for our own good you see, and in order to be better together we should all clog our arteries with something far more dangerous to the common good.
Such scare stories had the desired effect, and many bought into their dishonest marketing to the benefit of the corporations who couldn’t otherwise give the stuff away.
The margarine industry even had their own version of academics together, which Better Together have recently attempted to duplicate for their campaign of dishonesty, but lets face it, that is no big surprise, there are few as able to spout a constant flow of verbal garbage as some academics can spout.
All of this is not new of course, as prior to the great margarine hydrogenated fat con, there were academics who would sell their soul to tell you that cigarettes were good for you, but as we all know now neither products are healthy, and neither is Better Together good for Scotlands health and well being.

Have you ever tried to leave a tub of margarine out of the fridge for weeks on end, and it doesn’t appear to go off? Why is that? Its because it is not natural. Try doing that with butter and it will become rancid and it tells you that it is not safe to consume any longer. Everything that is natural and is good for you in this world is exactly the same, but that which is produced and is not natural will give the appearance of being good, but is catastrophic in the numbers it makes seriously ill over time if we are daft enough to consume it.
Such it is too with the UKs political union, It was unnatural from its conception and is now long past its sell by date.
Independence in contrast is the natural state of being for all of us, In peoples lives we promote Independent living and we encourage individuals to live in such a manner as much as possible.
The natural state for every country in the world is to be independent, from the very smallest to the largest, there are far more countries in this world which attend to their own affairs than there are which are not independent, and by in large they somehow manage to survive without their neighbours controlling their purse strings. Even the very poorest of these countries with few resources would refuse to willingly hand over their Independence to be subjugated to somebody else. So why should Scotland be so happy with that state of affairs to continue, where we with all our natural resources and talents give over our independence for Westminster to continuously employ decisions which are detrimental to our welfare and health? It does not make much sense does it?

It really is a case of buying into a fake product in order to forgo our own natural produce.

If we can’t believe that it’s not butter, then we are seriously lacking in intelligence.
If we believe in Better Together, I suggest that the same applies and we really are as gullible as they would like to believe of us.

About auldacquaintance

I am not a member of any political party. I am however a strong supporter of Scots Independence. Any views which I express in this Blog are purely my own. This Blog intends to be a place where I will be putting my views on Scots Independence. It will primarily concern itself with the upcoming Referendum In Scotland. However It will also be somewhat diverse in the range of day to day issues which are evident to me in modern day Scotland. Not all of it will be political, and indeed may take me off into avenues I am not even aware of yet. Please come and join in on this journey, and any comments are welcome provided they are not abusive! All the best from a new acquaintance! Rod
