Tough Love

First they will ignore you, and drive you to your knees
They will destroy your sense of dignity, with confidence and ease
When they have you poor and hungry, they will say It’s for your good
And should you then complain at them, they will tell you that you’re rude.
When you have had enough of being belittled, and say that’s quite enough
They will laugh at you uproariously, and say that’s just your tough
So you tell them you’re sick of bullying, and it’s time for you to leave
They will say “You Can’t and Shan’t,and Wont”, while refusing to believe
Then they will mock you and deride you, and say that you’re too poor
Yet for years they’ve lived off your wealth, and no more will you endure
Now they will tell you that they love you, and do everything for you
But they’ll call all their friends and tell them, how awful you are too
They will sweet talk, and they’ll say they care, when they really don’t!
Nor will they contemplate sharing assets, and negotiate they wont.
But when they really know that you are leaving, they will threaten and they’ll bluff
You can’t have what’s yours, It’s theirs, and they’ll tell you to get Stuffed!
But you know what you are worth by now, and you will not be appeased
It’s now time for your decision, leave that parasite who’s morally diseased.

About auldacquaintance

I am not a member of any political party. I am however a strong supporter of Scots Independence. Any views which I express in this Blog are purely my own. This Blog intends to be a place where I will be putting my views on Scots Independence. It will primarily concern itself with the upcoming Referendum In Scotland. However It will also be somewhat diverse in the range of day to day issues which are evident to me in modern day Scotland. Not all of it will be political, and indeed may take me off into avenues I am not even aware of yet. Please come and join in on this journey, and any comments are welcome provided they are not abusive! All the best from a new acquaintance! Rod

  1. Like I have said Westminster is ready to renege on the referendum if we vote yes. They will say it is only advisory, for years they have called us all the names under the sun, scroungers, subsidy junkies, incapable of running our own affairs what we are the only people nation on the planet that is too stupid to run our own country. While we have a country for this YES vote is for us to be a country or to say we are just a region of Britain/Greater England and so relinquish our country and nation to a nothing a shire or a county. Our descendants will feel shame that we had the chance, unique in the world, a nation a country to take our independence without a drop of blood being spilled. Why are so many against having a country?I can see the currency issue being a non-issue,if Alex Salmond comes out of a cabinet meeting of government (Scottish) ministers and declares that we will create our own central bank and Scottish pound (maybe linked to Sterling) Sterling will plummet, that is the chance Westminster is taking, they threaten to impoverish many for the face of the few.

    • Reider O'Doom says:

Couldn’t agree with you more. After a YES vote Osborne/Westminster will be desperate for Scotland to keep the pound. Without it, rUK could genuinely go belly-up. Their AA credit rating (already downgraded from AAA) will likely be downgraded further, without Scotland’s wealth/economy (oil and other exports) to back up the pound.

Osborne’s speech re the pound, and the way the MSM reported it, is all bullsh#t and bluster. Economic reality after September will see the mother of all U-turns.
